Keeping the dream alive
The theme of the January Atlanta retreat was acknowledging the ongoing pursuit of racial justice in the United States. On Sunday, 19 SAYFers and 8 FANs traveled to the Legacy Museum in Montgomery Alabama to recognize the suffering at the core of the African American experience in the U.S. from forced slavery to mass incarceration. The teens were challenged to contemplate how fighting racial injustice ties into their experience as young Quakers.
